M & M Ross Visual and Performing Arts Classes

 
 

Welcome

Every Year M & M Productions and Ross Music Theatre run a series of classes, workshops, camps, and seminars in acting, theatre, musical theatre, video and film production.  This summer we continue with many new classes and camps.  It is the perfect way to keep you kids brain working over the summer.

DID YOU KNOW

Young people who participate in the arts for at least three hours on three days each week through at least one full year are:

  1. 4 times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement.

  2. 3 times more likely to be elected to class office within their schools.

  3. 4 times more likely to participate in a science fair

  4. 3 times more likely to win an award for school attendance.

  5. 4 times more likely to win an award for writing an essay or poem.

  6. Read for pleasure nearly twice as often.

ALSO

  1. Students involved in drama performance coursework or experience outscored non-arts students on the 2005 SAT by an average of 65 points in the verbal component and 34 points in the math component(1)?

  2. Drama activities improve reading comprehension, and both verbal and non-verbal communication skills?

  3. Drama helps to improve school attendance and reduce high school dropout rates(2)?

  4. A 2005 Harris Poll revealed that 93% of the public believes that arts, including theatre, are vital to a well-rounded education (3)?

  5. Drama can improve skills and academic performance in children and youth with learning disabilities?

Classes are great for summer enrichment or  for home schoolers who want to ad drama to their course list.


While many classes are geared for youth there are some that are also for adults.  On this site you can see some photos, get information, register  and soon see video clips from our past performances.  Please look around and feel free to contact us for further information.
